Application

The pipe benders of type series INTELLIBEND UNI with control system supplied by the company SCHNEIDER are provided for cold bending of various metals with circular, square, rectangular and elliptic section. The tools of special accessories allow bending of metal materials with various sections to rings, elbows etc. The machine is conceived to enable simple control providing necessary comfort and safety for the operator. Due to high productivity, simple adjustability and reliable operation can be the machine used for small-lot and large-lot production. The programming data can be acquired by performance of bending in successive, semi-automatic operation. Principal fields of use: automotive industry (gas outlets, frames and other products), furniture industry (metal furniture), engineering industry (bicycles, air-condition equipments) incl. a lot of other industrial fields where are currently used bent profiles.

Schneider control

The SCHNEIDER control system consists of the appropriate display and the control module. The display is installed in the control panel generating four-line alphanumeric table that serves for the communication between the operator and the machine. This display communicates with the control unit through interface UNI-TELWAY that guarantees reliable communication between the machine and the control panel and securing also the simple operational service.

The memory size of the control system enables the simultaneous retention of 60 bending programs. 

In one single program can be programmed in total 15 steps. One step means one bending stage. The stage is defined with function visualized as text and numerical parameter. The program editor allows deleting and entering of program steps. 

In addition to the program steps can be the bending in various programs selected by parameters. The parameters can be classifies as numerical and text parameters. With text parameters can be selected the mode of program performance – program jogging, bending slowdown - ON/OFF, strip function – partial or total retreat and generation of the help text for product description. Numerical parameters can define limitations in move speed, mandrel pulling-out angle, bending slowdown angle and bending angle corrections introduced to program steps. These parameters are integral part of the bending program and are automatically adjusted together with the selection of the bending program. 

In addition to the program parameters can be the machine work matched with system parameters that are valid for all programs. The program version includes integrally operating service instructions and description of various display keys.

The machine works as semi-automat with manual feeding and automatic cycle for clamping, bending a pipe releasing after bending. The bending disc works in one level and individual motions can be performed separately. For bending of thin-walled pipes and closed profiles is used the mandrel or bow ejector preventing the cross-section deformation. In this case will be the automatic cycle completed by mandrel pulling-out. An electronic pre-selection allows programming various sizes and angle succession of the required bending. The machine operation – motion pre-selection will be panel programmed. The machine starts after tool arrangement with the actuation of combined driver. The pipe bending accuracy can be corrected by appropriate tools. 

The tools are customized as based on drawing documentation of the bent piece.
